This 40-hour online course will provide technicians, engineers, and manufacturers with an in depth look into both digital and computed radiographic techniques.

This course focuses on the theory and principles of radiation and their application to radiography. Subjects also included in this course include handling and processing radiographic film, radiography techniques, image quality, basic radiographic interpretation and the safe use of RT equipment. Both X-Ray and Gamma Ray sources are analyzed along with technique development guidance and advanced radiation safety.

This 40-hour course exceeds the instruction outline and criteria specified in the ASNT Recommended Practice SNT-TC-1A, ANSI/ASNT CP-189, ASNT Standard Topical Outlines for Qualification of Nondestructive Testing Personnel (ANSI/ASNT CP-105) and NAS410 (Non- Film).

Computed/Digital Radiography Level II Online Course (799.00)

This 40-hour online course continues with the technical production of proper radiographic imaging. Study materials focus on optimizing contrast, definition, sensitivity, film processing, interpretation, calculations, shot techniques, and utilizing acceptance criteria per relevant codes and standards. This course gives an in depth look into both digital and computed radiographic techniques and terminology, handling and care of phosphor imaging plates (CR), and Digital Imaging plates.

This course is required for those who have completed RT I and want to advance to a higher certification level.

This training course includes our 8-hour Online Digital and Computed Radiography course which covers extensively the techniques, Terminology, Calibration, IQI and RQI, System Performance Checks, Software Functions, Imaging Plate Care and Handling and more.

This 8-hour course, when combined with your previous Level I and II Radiography training, exceeds the instruction outline and criteria specified in the ASNT Recommended Practice SNT-TC-1A, ANSI/ASNT CP-189, ASNT Standard Topical Outlines for Qualification of Nondestructive Testing Personnel (ANSI/ASNT CP-105).

If you are currently certified RT Level II and a full course format was used to meet the initial qualifications in that technique, SNT-TC-1A and CP-189 State:

“If and individual is currently certified in a radiographic technique and a full course format was used to meet the initial qualifications in that technique, the minimum training hours to qualify in another technique at the same level shall be 24 hours (of which at least 16 hours shall be equipment familiarization) as defined in the employer’s certification procedure.”
